Sounds fuel related to me. If it sat for a year without being run, and had ethanol fuel in it (which nearly all fuel has ethanol these days), you could have ruined a number of things... pressure reg, damper, lines, injectors, etc... could have even killed the pump. First thing I'd do is put a gauge on the fuel line and see what pressure is. If not to FSM spec, go from there. If that's OK, plan on blowing about $1800 for a set of new injectors and all the other goodies on and under the intake plenum. Courtesy has a kit for the plenum pull. Do the valve cover gaskets while you are there and all the PVC parts, coolant, fuel and vac lines you can get at. Took me 45 hours and I'm no rookie at this stuff. If you are anywhere near a 60K interval, do the timing belt, pulleys and seals while you are at it. It'll make both parts easier.
